All fairy tales and love stories we, as men, are shown to be charming, funny, confident but under no circumstances may we vulnerable, Broken, lost or weak.
If you look at Cinderella, she leaves a slipper behind and he spends a long time going from door to door trying to find the foot that fits that slipper, a little cheesy yes but I do have a point, in movies like The Notebook, love is complicated and heavily filled with a lot of ups and massive downs but they tend to get through it.
Not once have I seen a romantic movie or love story that showcases the true brokenness behind the man or the problems he might have, it always seems to be revolved around him fixing her and not the other way around.
On the journey of life, you are faced with many roads to take, whether they are the right one or not, you will only know once you are on it, people will meet you on those roads to test you and to better you, I must say I am tired of going through this dam road of pain and disappointment.
I am on the road back to the T-junction where I took the wrong turn, let’s hope this time, I am worth the fight.
